Natalia Turcanu originally comes from the Republic of Moldova, but came to Norway in January 2019, and now lives in Jessheim. She comes from a music-loving family, and started singing herself when she was five years old. At this year's festival, she will, among other things, perform one of her favorite songs; "Pentru ea", composed by Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici, on the lyrics of the classic author Grigore Vieru.
Natalia will also perform a piece from the Moldovan but also Romanian folklore, «Morărița», as well as the song "Hora din Moldova", which represented Moldova at Eurovision in 2009.
